Continuing with the wine of the month series, I recently discovered a new red wine that I'm OBSESSED with and thought I would share with you!

Back when the weather was nice my parents went on a wine tour in Niagara at the Jackson Triggs Estate and brought back a bottle of Jackson Triggs Reserve Cabernet Franc. Seeing as the title had the word 'reserve' in it, and the bottle looks kind of fancy I thought that this was an expensive bottle of wine, but it retails at the LCBO for $14.25, which is definitely a reasonable price for a nice bottle of wine.

This wine is a VQA, so it's an Ontario made wine, which is always nice to support local. As well, that means it can be found in the VQA section of the LCBO.

When I tried this wine I immediately loved it, but I will say that it is a heavier red and I would recommend it for someone who enjoys red wine - rather than someone trying red wines for the first time. The description states that is has "aromas of red cherry, earth, cracked pepper and toasted oak". Either way, I think it can be enjoyed by anyone.

Don't just take my word for it though, try it yourself and let me know what you think in the comments below!! Also make sure to check Sip & Sew regularly for new blog posts!
