Honestly what is better than a good Sangria - it's appropriate for almost all types of parties, gatherings, Sunday afternoons, or any of the hundreds of other occasions for which Sangria could enhance (always drink responsibly).
I've tried my fair share of Sangria's - and at the risk of sounding conceited - my credentials include having drank Sangria from Portugal, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Greece (worst Sangria of my life), Mexico, Jamaica, and Cuba. The only thing I used to order at restaurants, or when I was eating out if I wanted an alcoholic drink, was Sangria.

In summary; I love Sangria, I've drank A LOT of Sangria, and this recipe is my favourite simple cocktail recipe to whip together. Also, when I make this recipe I always use my dad's homemade wine - it's not quite like any wine I've been able to buy and so no recreation I've been able to find is quite as good as the Peter original. However, it's still a simple and delicious recipe worth having in your repertoire!
THE RECIPE
1 BOTTLE RED WINE (sangria should be made with a 'light red wine')
*tip - try a wine from Spain or Portugal*
2 CANS OF CANADA DRY GINGERALE
1 CUP OCEAN SPRAY CRANRASPBERRY juice
1/2 CUP COINTREAU
1 LARGE ORANGE, HALVED (juice half into Sangria, thinly slice other half and add slices)
ICE AS DESIRED
